Vice President; Sales & Marketing, Amerijet International Airlines
Starting his tenure at Amerijet International Airlines in 1989, Derry has held numerous leadership positions including, most recently, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Director of Flight Operations, Chief Pilot and Pilot.
In his current role, Derry leads the sales and marketing team in commercial development and forming strategic alliances. As Vice President, Sales and Marketing he has the overall responsibility for the airline’s revenues generated across sales channels from all global points of sale, and for sales distribution strategies worldwide. Under Derry’s leadership, the company has rapidly expanded its ACMI operations, commercial route development and product diversity.
Prior to joining the commercial team, Derry’s responsibility as Director of Flight Operations included the oversight of Amerijet’s safe day-to-day flight operations in more than 30 countries, crew hiring and training programs, flight safety and dispatch operations, and regulatory compliance. As Director of Flight Operations, he led many innovative programs, including the development and decade long operation of the first ever FAA approved commercial parabolic flight program providing weightless flight operations for their customer, Zero G.
Derry holds an MBA from Florida International University, as well as an undergraduate degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
